OPASKWAYAK EDUCATION SERVICES INC. IS RECRUITING FULL-TIME HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS FOR THE 2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
SUMMARY: At Opaskwayak Education Services, we are dedicated to revitalizing language, culture, spiritual beliefs, and traditional knowledge, enriching the educational experiences of every individual. We are in search of enthusiastic and committed English teachers capable of fostering a positive and culturally relevant learning environment for students at Oscar Lathlin Collegiate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- A Bachelor of Education degree is mandatory
- A satisfactory child abuse registry check and criminal record check must be completed prior to employment
DUTIES:
- Adhere to the Teachers Code of Conduct and the OCN/OES Employee Code of Conduct
- Maintain punctuality and demonstrate respect towards all colleagues and students
- Effectively plan and deliver the sanctioned curriculum
- Create an engaging, respectful, and organized learning environment that supports student success
- Assess student performance and communicate grading processes for each course
- Provide attendance records and reports to the principal as necessary
- Enhance Physical Education instruction by leveraging assessment results
- Refer students to appropriate special services when needed
- Complete and submit lesson plans, timetables, mark books, and any other pertinent documentation before leaving the position
- Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned
