About This Role

O Castro British International School is a lively and inviting educational establishment situated in Vigo, Spain, serving over 700 students across Primary and Secondary levels. Our curriculum aligns with the National Curriculum for England and incorporates the Cambridge International Curriculum for KS3 in key subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, as well as IGCSE and A Levels. Position Overview

O Castro British School is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled French and Spanish Teacher with qualified teaching status to join our exceptional secondary teaching team.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both French and Spanish.
  • A university degree or official certification.
  • Experience teaching French (up to A levels) and Spanish (KS3 and 4).
  • Preferred training in language teaching, pedagogy, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to create educational resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create interdisciplinary units and support student development.
  • Assess and document student progress.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and the school community concerning student learning and welfare.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
