We are seeking a talented education assistant to work alongside teachers in the Intermediate/Middle School Program. You will be part of a collaborative teaching team focused on nurturing the growth and development of young girls in the Junior School. Our teaching and learning practices are centered around students and collaboration, emphasizing inquiry-based techniques to enhance the educational experiences of young learners.

Responsibilities:
● Work with teachers to create engaging programs suitable for Intermediate and Middle School classrooms (Grades 4 - 7).
● Provide assistance to individual students and small groups requiring additional support throughout the school day (e.g., in social, emotional, executive functioning, and academic areas).
● Support individual students as specified in an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or School-Based Support Plan (SBSP), in accordance with the classroom teacher and learning resource teacher.
● Collaborate with teachers to develop tailored support strategies that address the unique needs of each student.
● Keep accurate and detailed records of student progress and behavior to identify triggers, patterns, and effective interventions.
● Attend regular meetings concerning student learning with the entire educational team.
● Assist teachers with various tasks and responsibilities.
● Prepare instructional materials and visual displays for classroom use.
● Supervise students during transitions, lunchtime, and outdoor activities.
● Participate in our after-school care and co-curricular activities.
● Help with school events such as Public Speaking, Sports Day, and concerts.

Qualifications:
● A Bachelor of Education/Education Assistant Certificate/Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
● 1-3 years of experience working with children in an educational environment.
● Knowledge of supporting diverse learning needs informed by research and best practices in inclusive classrooms, such as ADHD, ASD, and sensory regulation requirements.
● Experience in documenting student behavior.
● Understanding of the learning styles unique to young girls.
● Proven ability to be creative, adaptable, and well-organized with a keen eye for detail.
● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong time management skills.
● Enthusiasm, dedication, and a willingness to engage in the co-curricular program and the larger school community.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
