TRUST - RESPECT - EQUITY - EXCELLENCE

The wellbeing and progress of learners is essential to the success of Honywood. We believe that a culture of trust, respect, equity and excellence is essential to creating a learning environment in which everybody feels safe, valued and challenged. High expectations and a mutual respect for our differences is key to enabling learners to thrive and make excellent progress.

To support our ongoing journey, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational English Teacher to add to our already impressive team for a one year fixed period. The postholder will be instrumental in creating an environment that removes barriers to learning for each and every learner and ensures they achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to begin their teaching journey in a nurturing, supportive environment or looking to broaden their experience within a unique community school.

The school is at an exciting point in its improvement journey and is currently on an upward trajectory, with excellent results being achieved this year and a very positive recent OFSTED report. We very much see our English Team as a key player in this journey and are looking for a talented teacher to join the team and help shape the culture of the school and the lives of our wonderful learners.

Relationships & the development of social capital is at the heart of everything we do at Honywood. We want our staff to not just feel like co-workers. We want them to be proud members of Honywood; highly valued colleagues who help our community thrive. Working at Honywood is like being a part of a family.

“Staff are positive about leaders’ efforts to ensure that they have a reasonable
