Design & Technology (DT) Technician
About This Role
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is currently on the lookout for a Design & Technology (DT) Technician to enhance our school community.
The DT Technician will play a vital role in supporting the Design Technology department by aiding academic staff with the delivery of the curriculum, preparing necessary materials and equipment ahead of time, and ensuring a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
Key responsibilities for this position include maintaining a safe, organized, and well-equipped space within the Design Technology workshop. This entails managing personal protective equipment (PPE) for students, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, preparing materials, as well as maintaining and setting up equipment while providing technical support during lessons. Additional duties will involve managing inventory, conducting daily and annual maintenance on equipment, and creating displays for various events. Collaborating with the team is crucial to support project trials and to ensure that the workshop operates efficiently and safely for student use.
