About This Role

About this Role:

Role: Community Champion Lead - Medway

Contract: Full time and Two-year fixed-term contract

End Date: September 2028

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £38,220 (Scale Point 27)

Location: Working across Delce Academy, Chattenden Primary School and Elaine Primary School

The Role

Could you help strengthen the connection between families, schools and the Medway community?

At Inspire Partnership Academy Trust, we believe that children thrive when they feel that they belong.

Strong relationships with families, trusted adults and a genuine connection to school can transform a child's experience of education. That is why we are looking for an exceptional Community Champion Lead to work alongside our schools, families and communities across Medway.

This is not simply an attendance role. It is a people and relationships role.

You will be a visible and trusted presence within our school communities, getting to know families, listening to them, understanding the barriers they face and helping them find a way forward.

You might be visiting a family at home, meeting a parent for a coffee, connecting a family with local support, bringing community organisations into our schools or helping a child and their family reconnect with education.

The role will work predominantly with Delce Academy, alongside Chattenden Primary School and Elaine Primary School.

Could this be you?

We are looking for someone who:

  • has strong knowledge of Medway, its communities, local services, voluntary organisations and support networks
  • is warm, approachable and able to build genuine, trusting relationships
  • has experience of working with children, families or communities
  • is an excellent listener who seeks to understand the barriers families face
  • can connect families with the right local services and practical support
  • understands the importance of attendance, inclusion and belonging
  • is confident undertaking community outreach and home visits and
  • can work with schools, families and community partners to make things happen.

You may already work in education, family support, Early Help, community development, pastoral support, the voluntary sector or another people-focused role.

Above all, we are looking for someone who knows Medway, understands its communities and believes in the power of relationships to create change.

Why join us?

You will have the opportunity to shape a new role and make a visible difference to children and families across Medway.

Our Trust values guide everything we do:

Collaboration matters | Excellence in everything | Community first | Equity for everyone | Continuous growth

You will be supported by experienced school and Trust leaders and have opportunities for professional development and growth.

Most importantly, you will help strengthen the relationship between home, school and community, ensuring more children feel that they belong, attend regularly and have the opportunity to thrive.

If you know Medway, care deeply about its communities and believe that strong relationships can make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
