Position Overview:
The Fine Arts Academy is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year. This program caters to students in grades 5 through 8, offering them a rich, specialized education in the performing arts. The role involves guiding students through the realms of drama, dance, and music, helping them become self-assured performers across various artistic disciplines. Instruction will take place in the afternoons, focusing on advanced techniques where students will develop acting abilities, delve into improvisation and monologues, and integrate dance, acting, and vocal skills in musical theatre. Students will also have the chance to showcase their talents in productions throughout the year. Given the diverse age range and varying levels of experience among participants, the ideal candidate must possess a strong background in differentiated instruction within the arts.

Position Details:
Temporary Part-Time Teacher Assignment: .45 FTE
Term: Begins August 26, 2026

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will possess:
- Expertise in dance, drama, musical theatre, and choreography
- A solid foundation in arts education and performing arts
- Previous experience in program development, implementation, and management
- A background in community engagement

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent
- Must hold or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
- Experience teaching strands of performing arts (drama, dance, music)
- Relevant education, certifications, and qualifications pertaining to instruction in the performing arts

Salary & Benefits:
Compensation will align with the current STF Salary Grid.
