Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School Special Education Teacher
Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, situated in Big River First Nation, is on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to become part of their team for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Designing and executing lesson plans that cover a diverse range of subjects
• Assessing and grading students’ understanding and performance
• Engaging in discussions with students and parents regarding educational matters
• Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere that promotes education
• Crafting lesson plans and instructional strategies in line with school standards
• Administering assessments to evaluate student progress and pinpoint areas needing improvement
• Cultivating an interactive learning environment tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Developing and implementing lesson plans and instructional resources by coordinating various activities, such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions
• Overseeing and managing classroom behavior and activities
Requirements:
• Strong scheduling capabilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Bachelor of Education degree and a valid Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Effective classroom management abilities
• Capability to teach students with diverse learning abilities
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Experience in cross-cultural settings is an advantage
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be able to furnish proof of prior teaching experience (if applicable)
