Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, situated in Big River First Nation, is on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Grade 1 Teacher to become part of their dedicated team for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities include:
• Crafting and executing lesson plans that cover a diverse range of subjects
• Assessing and grading students' understanding and performance
• Engaging with students and parents to address educational matters
• Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe atmosphere for learning
• Designing lesson plans and instructional strategies in alignment with school standards
• Administering assessments to evaluate student progress and pinpoint areas for improvement
• Creating a stimulating learning environment that accommodates individual student needs
• Organizing various activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions to enhance instructional materials
• Overseeing and managing classroom behavior and activities

Qualifications:
• Excellent scheduling capabilities
• Strong organizational skills
• A Bachelor of Education degree along with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Effective classroom management abilities
• Capacity to teach students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Cross-Cultural experience is beneficial
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable)
