ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Berens River School caters to students from Nursery to Grade 9, serving around 400 learners. The town of Berens River, with a population of approximately 3,546, is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, about a four-hour drive north of Winnipeg. This picturesque lakeside community features amenities such as a general store, Northern store, and a community hall. The surrounding landscape offers a wealth of recreational opportunities, including fishing, hiking, and canoeing.

WHAT YOU BRING
• A Bachelor of Education Degree, ideally complemented by a Master’s Degree in Education or a related discipline, alongside a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).
• A Manitoba Inclusive Education Teaching certificate or progress towards certification.
• Prior experience in the role of Resource Teacher.
• Strong knowledge of current Manitoba curricula and differentiated instructional strategies.
• Training and expertise in both formal and informal assessment methods.
• Familiarity with suitable educational programming.
• Understanding of the Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset).
• Experience in a northern community (considered an asset).

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
