Chief John Keenatch High School Div. IV Teacher
Se-Se-Wa-Hum School in Big River First Nation is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Chief John Keenatch High School teacher to become part of their team for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design and execute lesson plans that cover a wide range of subjects for students.
• Assess and grade students’ understanding and performance on the material taught.
• Engage in communication and meetings with students and parents to address educational concerns.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and secure learning atmosphere that promotes education.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional strategies in accordance with school standards.
• Administer assessments to evaluate student progress and highlight areas needing improvement.
• Create a stimulating learning environment tailored to individual student requirements.
• Organize and implement diverse activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions to enhance lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Oversee and manage classroom behavior and activities effectively.
Requirements:
• Excellent scheduling capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor of Education degree along with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Capability to instruct students with varying levels of ability.
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum.
• Cross-cultural experience is advantageous.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must be able to present verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable).
