Curriculum

The School follows the Pearson (Edexcel) British Curriculum for both IGCSE and A Level. Familiarity with Pearson/Edexcel specifications is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction for IGCSE and A Level (Pearson/Edexcel)
  • Create and prepare lesson plans in line with Pearson specifications and assessment objectives
  • Assist in the formation and development of the new Sixth Form Department
  • Participate in curriculum planning, scheme development, and internal assessments
  • Ensure students are well-prepared for external examinations
  • Track student progress and provide necessary academic support
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and professionalism
  • Collaborate effectively with senior leadership and Sixth Form staff
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and initiatives related to the Sixth Form

Person Specification

  • British-trained teacher with a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area
  • Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or A Level
  • Strong knowledge of Pearson/Edexcel examination boards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the new Sixth Form
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a developing team
  • Experience in international schools or Sixth Forms is advantageous but not essential
