Curriculum

Our school follows the Pearson (Edexcel) British Curriculum for both IGCSE and A Level. Experience with the Pearson / Edexcel specifications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding teaching for IGCSE and A Level (Pearson / Edexcel)

• Develop and prepare lessons in line with Pearson specifications and assessment goals

• Assist in the formation and expansion of the new Sixth Form Department

• Contribute to the creation of schemes of work, curriculum planning, and internal assessments

• Ensure thorough preparation of students for external examinations

• Track student progress and provide academic support as necessary

• Maintain high standards of classroom management and professionalism

• Collaborate effectively with senior leadership and Sixth Form colleagues

• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and Sixth Form initiatives

Person Specification

• British-trained teacher possessing a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area

• Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or A Level

• Comprehensive knowledge of Pearson / Edexcel exam boards

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• A strong desire to contribute to the development of a new Sixth Form

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a growing team

• Experience in an international school or Sixth Form environment is advantageous but not essential
