About This Role

Aldar Education is currently looking for a Teacher - EYFS (Immediate Start, Temporary Cover) at Al Shohub Private School, contributing to our expanding network of owned and operated schools in the UAE.

Al Shohub Private School, established in 1999 by Her Highness Sheikha Shaikha Bint Saif Al Nahyan, operates under the British curriculum and serves a mixed-gender primary school. Located in a state-of-the-art educational facility in Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi, the school predominantly enrolls Emirati students. Our institution is deeply embedded in the Emirati community's values, driven by parental aspirations, and aligned with the standards set by our regulatory authority, ADEK.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons that inspire students and help them achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Communicate well at all levels within the school community.
  • Build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Partner with fellow educators to design engaging lessons that fulfill curriculum requirements.
  • Maintain flexibility while cooperating with colleagues.
  • Work with parents to promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with curriculum support staff (if applicable) to aid in children's development.
  • Possess a clear understanding of the curriculum.
  • Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster an engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Plan, prepare, and present lessons that address the diverse needs of all students.
  • Motivate students through dynamic and imaginative teaching methods.
  • Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment protocols.
  • Reflect on classroom practices, teaching sessions, and student progress, adjusting planning and the learning environment accordingly.
  • Meet with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as needed.
  • Ensure the integration of Al Mamoura Academy's Teacher and Learner DNA language and values throughout the curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Active and recent participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Respect for every member of the school community, regardless of position, gender, age, or ethnic background.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
