About the Psychology Department and Role

We are currently seeking a seasoned teacher of Psychology, with IBDP experience being a plus, to join our active Psychology department and pastoral team as a Form Tutor. While experience in teaching an additional subject is appreciated, it is not a requirement.

Psychology is a favored subject at both IGCSE level (following the AQA 8182 curriculum) and within the IBDP framework. Among our latest IBDP HL Psychology graduates, 30% achieved scores of 7 or 6, while 25% of SL students attained similar results. The Psychology department is committed to ongoing enhancement, and this year, it is collaborating with other departments to provide academic support that helps students grasp the practical applications of their learning.

About You

You are an innovative educator who establishes ambitious goals for students and cultivates a passion for learning. Eager to adopt new teaching strategies, you are collaborative, introspective, and dedicated to your professional development. Additionally, you must meet the visa requirements for Poland.

Your qualifications

• An honours degree in a relevant field.

• UK QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification).

• Demonstrated experience in an English-speaking educational environment.

Your skills and abilities

• A genuine enthusiasm for education, particularly in an international setting.

• A high standard of personal integrity and professionalism.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire students.

• Proficiency in utilizing technology for teaching and administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for KS3, IGCSE, and IBDP students.

• Create an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere that promotes personal and academic development.

• Collaborate on curriculum development, assessment creation, and departmental projects.

• Incorporate Nord Anglia’s unique resources and global partnerships into your instruction.

• Actively engage in school activities, including the LEAP co-curricular program, events, and supervision responsibilities.

• Maintain clear communication with parents and contribute to academic assessments.

• Participate in professional development and exemplify lifelong learning.

• Serve as a Form Tutor to support students in their personal and academic journeys.

• Fulfill supervision and lesson cover duties as necessary.
