About This Role

Aldar Education is on the lookout for a Key Stage 1 Phase Level Lead at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, set to begin in the academic year 2026-2027. This role is part of the out-of-class Primary Leadership Team, where the chosen candidate will oversee a specific phase within the school while also taking on certain whole school responsibilities aimed at enhancing school performance and elevating standards.

Mamoura British Academy follows the British curriculum and features a Lower, Middle, and Senior School framework housed in a modern facility located in the bustling center of Abu Dhabi. Main Responsibilities:

- Lead the phase team in aligning with the school’s vision and strategic direction, ensuring consistency with the school’s Key Drivers, School Development Plan, and Unique Selling Propositions (USPs).

- Spearhead initiatives that foster continuous improvement, crafting innovative strategies that elevate standards within the phase.

- Define and communicate a clear, ambitious vision for the phase that encourages innovative learning experiences and consistently high-quality outcomes.

- Oversee the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Review (MER) process across the phase, ensuring strict quality assurance of teaching, learning, and standards.

- Motivate the team to design and implement learning opportunities that are innovative, meaningful, challenging, and responsive to the diverse needs of all learners.

- Guarantee that pastoral care and wellbeing systems are effectively implemented, nurturing a culture of care and respect within the phase.

- Provide line management and guidance to Heads of Year, offering clear direction, accountability, and opportunities for professional development.

- Lead the data collection, analysis, and interpretation process, assisting the team in identifying trends, addressing gaps, and planning targeted interventions.

- Ensure the delivery of high-quality interventions within the phase that challenge and support all student groups to reach their full potential.

- Promote dynamic, creative, and purposeful learning environments that reflect the school's unique offerings.

- Champion the development and establishment of industry partnerships that enrich learning experiences and align with the school’s vision.

- Play an active leadership role in supporting strategies for student retention and enrollment, particularly in Foundation Stage provision.

- Enhance the professional growth of staff within the phase by leading impactful professional development sessions, coaching, team teaching, and sharing best practices (including for Early Career Teachers).

Minimum Qualification:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor of Arts with a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- At least 3 years of teaching experience within the English National Curriculum.

- Leadership experience is preferred.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

- Proven experience in leading a team and facilitating school change is essential.

- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Ability to thrive under pressure, solve problems, navigate challenging situations, and demonstrate resilience.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
