About This Role

In response to the continued expansion of our school, we are excited to invite applications for the role of Head of Sixth Form, commencing in August 2026.

The Head of Sixth Form at Cheltenham Muscat plays a critical leadership role, focused on the academic achievement, pastoral support, and overall growth of Sixth Form students. This position is vital for ensuring that students excel both academically and personally within the framework of a British Independent School, aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum and the values inspired by Cheltenham College UK. The Head of Sixth Form will cultivate a nurturing yet challenging educational atmosphere, guiding students towards successful A Level completion and arming them with the skills and character needed for future success.

As part of an all-through school that serves a diverse student population, this role demands cultural awareness, strong leadership capabilities, and effective collaboration with teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The Head of Sixth Form will also engage in broader school leadership initiatives, including quality assurance, supporting the institution’s vision to provide a top-tier British education grounded in respect, integrity, and academic excellence.

Safeguarding


Function as a deputy designated safeguarding lead, remaining vigilant in recognizing and reporting concerns.


Adhere to Cheltenham Muscat’s safeguarding policies and legal guidance, ensuring the protection and safety of all Sixth Form students.


Foster a safeguarding culture among Sixth Form staff and students.


Ensure that all activities and interactions within the Sixth Form comply with child protection laws and ethical standards.


Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and external agencies to support vulnerable students and maintain a safe learning atmosphere.
