NACIS Shanghai is in search of several Secondary English Teachers to enhance teaching and learning in the realm of Secondary English and Literature.

The School:

Established in September 2016, NACIS Shanghai provides a stimulating, creative, and fulfilling educational experience. Our progressive and internationally oriented school community welcomes students aged 6 to 18. We offer a unique bilingual, blended learning curriculum culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and A-level Programme. Situated in Shanghai's Minhang District, our school boasts state-of-the-art facilities that support our innovative educational model.

Our diverse faculty represents 10 different nations, with a substantial number of staff from China, the UK, Ireland, and North America.

The Role:

We are looking for several qualified Secondary English Teachers to join our team, where your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering a blended English curriculum for Grade 6 to Grade 8, IGCSE for Grades 9 and 10, or A-level/IBDP (specific grade assignments will depend on your curriculum experience).

- Demonstrating comprehensive curriculum knowledge while being adaptable within the English department to teach various curriculum components.

- Ensuring that all aspects of planning, preparation, teaching, assessment, and reporting align with student needs and school expectations.

- Setting high standards for our students by designing learning activities that are in line with our school's Secondary curriculum and fostering a learning culture where all achievements are possible.

- Creating a respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes learning through inquiry and discussion.

- Actively engaging in broader school development and initiatives.

The Successful Candidate will Possess:

- Qualified Teacher Status, along with three to four years of experience in teaching Secondary English and Literature.

- A solid understanding of effective teaching theories and practices that cater to the individual needs of all students through classroom organization, differentiation, and learning strategies.

- A PGCE/QTS or a nationally recognized teaching license.

- A degree in English Language and Literature is preferred.

- A collaborative spirit and flexibility.

About You:

Eager to share your specialized knowledge and collaborate with others, you will embody the school’s values as an ambassador. You will communicate effectively with diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to foster robust relationships with parents and students. You will be capable of swiftly adapting to our dynamic international setting and fulfilling visa requirements for China, including holding a bachelor's degree, a clean criminal record, and a minimum of 24 months of teaching experience.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
