About This Role

The International School of Monaco is looking to hire a dedicated and enthusiastic Director of Sports. This role involves overseeing all members of the PE department, managing external sports coaches, and leading all initiatives related to the World Academy of Sport (WAoS).

The Director of Sports will have a comprehensive role, supervising both curricular and extracurricular physical education and sports across the entire school. This position is pivotal in establishing and advancing the vision that guides our sports programs at ISM.

The vision will be developed collaboratively with the PE department and staff engaged in sports activities. A true passion for student sports and a readiness to cultivate a program that not only fosters participation but also champions success are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be an effective administrator, and have the capability to lead a diverse and sizable department.

Additionally, the Director of Sports will be responsible for overseeing our World Academy of Sport accreditation and program, ensuring the complete execution of our Athlete Friendly Education Policy.

Qualifications:


A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.


Recognized teaching qualification.


At least 3 years of experience working with young children.


A commitment to extra-curricular sporting activities.


A dedication to delivering high-quality sports programming.


Experience as a Director of Sport in an international school is a plus.


Basic proficiency in French is advantageous.
