Capital School Bahrain is excited to invite applications for the position of Teacher of English to join our expanding secondary team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English at Key Stage 3 and IGCSE, providing high-quality lessons designed to enhance students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical abilities. The capability to instruct A-Level English Literature would be a significant advantage as we enhance our Sixth Form offerings.

Key Responsibilities include:


Delivering exceptional English lessons for KS3 and IGCSE students


Designing engaging, well-structured lessons that align with the English National Curriculum


Effectively preparing students for IGCSE English Language and Literature examinations


Enhancing students' literacy, critical reading, and extended writing skills


Utilizing assessments to guide teaching and support student development


Upholding high standards for behavior, effort, and academic achievement


Collaborating within the English department and across the school community

The successful candidate will possess:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification


Robust subject knowledge in English


Proven experience teaching KS3 and IGCSE English (essential)


Experience with A-Level English Literature (desirable)


Effective classroom management skills and strong teaching practices
