Basic Requirements for Candidates
1. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (graduate degree preferred).
2. Candidates must be eligible for British Columbia teacher certification.
3. A minimum of two years of teaching experience in Canadian schools, North American curricula, or international schools is preferred.
4. A professional attitude towards teaching that aligns with MIC’s mission and values, including a commitment to collaboration, perseverance, and accountability.
5. Experience working with enthusiastic and motivated secondary students is preferred.
6. Proven dedication to ongoing professional development and readiness to engage in school-based in-service activities.
Employment Benefits for a 2-year Contract Period
C&B Package: In accordance with the B.C. salary grid based on relevant teaching experience with teenagers, the pre-tax monthly salary ranges from CAD 4335 to CAD 6670.
Welfare Package:
1. Flight allowance:
- Option 1: CAD 1800 per academic year for flight allowance.
- Option 2: Reimbursement for one round trip (at the start and end of the contract) between the home country and China; one CAD 1800 allowance will be issued between the first and second year of the contract.
2. Monthly house and transportation allowance of 3000 CNY if living off-campus or a free modern on-campus apartment furnished with all necessary amenities.
3. Daily meal allowance of 15 CNY, totaling approximately 330 CNY per month.
4. Paid summer and winter vacations, along with all Chinese holidays and Christmas holidays.
5. Health insurance coverage provided.
6. Work VISA assistance provided.
7. CAD 2000 renewal bonus for each academic year.
8. 1000 CNY relocation fee.
