About This Role

1. General Responsibilities
1.1 Curriculum Development & Delivery
Create and execute subject-specific courses that align with the educational goals of the institution and comply with international standards (including Cambridge, IB, or local curriculum frameworks).
Design lesson plans that feature engaging activities, multimedia resources, and age-appropriate instructional methods to engage both primary and secondary students.

1.2 Classroom Management
Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respects cultural diversity.
Enforce school policies and behavioral expectations, ensuring a safe and focused learning atmosphere throughout lessons.

1.3 Student Assessment & Progress Tracking
Regularly evaluate students’ academic performance, skill development, and engagement through quizzes, projects, presentations, or practical demonstrations.
Provide constructive feedback to students and their parents/guardians, documenting progress in report cards or portfolios.

1.4 Cultural & Linguistic Support
Deliver instruction in English while adjusting language complexity to suit students’ proficiency levels, helping them acquire subject-specific vocabulary.
Promote cross-cultural awareness by incorporating global perspectives into lessons.

2. Subject-Specific Responsibilities
2.1 Music Teacher
Instrumental/Vocal Instruction: Teach students how to play instruments (such as piano, guitar, drums) or refine their vocal skills, depending on the resources available at the school.
Music Theory & Appreciation: Introduce fundamental concepts like notation, rhythm, and music history, utilizing diverse genres (classical, jazz, world music) to broaden students’ cultural awareness.
Performances & Events: Organize school concerts, musicals, or choirs, providing rehearsal guidance and helping students build confidence for public performances.

3. Collaboration & Professional Development
3.1 Team Collaboration
Work alongside local educators to ensure lesson consistency with school-wide goals, exchange teaching strategies, and support bilingual students.
Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events (such as open houses, cultural festivals).

3.2 Professional Growth
Engage in workshops or training sessions to improve teaching methodologies.
Remain informed about educational trends in your subject area (such as new coding programs, environmental education projects).

3.3 Administrative Tasks
Promptly submit lesson plans, student assessments, and progress reports to school administration.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and classroom supplies.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
