About This Role

Aldar Academies is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Primary (KS2) to join Al Ain British Academy, with an anticipated start date in August 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure exceptional teaching and learning in alignment with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy, responsibilities include:

  • Creating a learning environment that promotes outstanding educational practices;
  • Defining clear teaching and learning objectives;
  • Setting specific goals based on prior achievements;
  • Recognizing students with SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T needs, ensuring their needs are met through tailored differentiation;
  • Structuring lessons and activities clearly to sustain pace, challenge, and engagement;
  • Effectively utilizing assessment for learning;
  • Using performance data and key indicators to inform planning and deliver differentiated lessons;
  • Incorporating ICT effectively to support learning and progress;
  • Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and encouraging positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework;
  • Assessing the achievement of learning objectives and using insights to improve targeted teaching and learning aspects;
  • Grading student work at least biweekly and setting progress targets following the school's Marking Policy;
  • Systematically assessing and documenting students' progress, keeping accurate records, and utilizing performance data to adapt planning and support student advancement;
  • Conducting assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental guidelines, and school procedures;
  • Preparing and delivering comprehensive reports to parents;
  • Participating in and supporting parent/student events;
  • Engaging in subject development by designing, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work;
  • Collaborating with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists as needed;
  • Undertaking any additional duties assigned by the Senior Leadership Team.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Classroom Teacher within the English Curriculum.
