About This Role

Aldar Academies is seeking a remarkable Early Years Foundation Stage Class Teacher to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 2026-2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and interventions for students with EAL or additional learning needs.
  • Engage students through inspiring and imaginative presentations.
  • Document children's work and learning in accordance with the Mamoura British Academy Marking and Feedback policy.
  • Reflect on lesson delivery and student progress, making necessary adjustments to planning, curriculum, and ongoing provisions.
  • Collaborate with professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as required.
  • Weave the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes throughout the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning across the school by sharing best practices and participating in CPD and T&L initiatives.
  • Utilize technology effectively, delivering innovative and creative lessons and continuous provisions.

Assessment and Data:

  • Take responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class of EYFS children, ensuring they exceed the expected standards.
  • Meet the assessment and recording requirements of pupil development using Learning Ladders.
  • Leverage assessment data to guide future planning and interventions.
  • Provide regular updates to parents and carers regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
  • Prepare and participate in termly Pupil Progress meetings.

Behaviour Management and Duties:

  • Follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote the TRACK Values to establish high expectations.
  • Manage classes effectively with strategies tailored to pupils' needs, inspiring, motivating, and challenging them.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and parents, adhering to school procedures to address any rare occurrences of undesirable behavior.
  • Act as a positive role model, consistently exhibiting the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected from students.
  • Carry out playground and additional duties promptly, interactively, and proactively.
  • Ensure accurate follow-up and documentation of any behaviour or safeguarding concerns on CPOMS.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a curriculum action group to assist with planning, assessment, resources, and special events related to that team.
  • Help organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities that may take place on weekends or evenings.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents/carers regarding students' achievements and well-being through school processes.
  • Contribute positively to the overall life and ethos of the school.
  • Facilitate a weekly ECA each term to broaden the opportunities for our students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

  • Experience in teaching the English National Curriculum.
  • EYFS experience is preferred.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role.
