Aldar Academies is seeking a remarkable Teacher - Primary (KS1) to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, with a start date in March 2026.

Mamoura British Academy operates under the British curriculum and accommodates a co-educational setting until Year 8, transitioning to an all-girls environment from Year 9 onward. Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum.
  • Organize classroom resources and create displays that encourage a lively learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons geared towards the varied abilities within the classroom.
  • Motivate students through enthusiastic and creative teaching strategies.
  • Evaluate and track student progress in line with school standards.
  • Reflect on teaching practices, lesson effectiveness, and student outcomes, modifying strategies as necessary.
  • Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when required.
  • Integrate the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA principles throughout the teaching curriculum.

Assessment and Data:

  • Take responsibility for the progress of the class.
  • Fulfill assessment and recording standards for student development using Target Tracker.
  • Use assessment data to guide future planning, support, and interventions.
  • Provide updates to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:

  • Follow the school's behavior policy.
  • Effectively manage classrooms, employing strategies that meet students' needs to inspire and motivate them.
  • Nurture positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and decisiveness within the behavioral framework.
  • Act as a positive role model, consistently embodying the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
  • Maintain high expectations for behavior, promoting self-regulation and independence among all learners.
  • Carry out assigned duties in accordance with school policy.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

  • Join a curriculum action group, aiding in planning, assessment, resources, and events related to that group.
  • Participate in organizing and engaging in school events, outings, and activities that may occur during weekends or evenings.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and well-being through school systems such as CPOMS when appropriate.
  • Positively contribute to the broader life and ethos of the school.
  • Facilitate a weekly EC.
