Position Overview:

We welcome passionate Spanish educators who are committed to nurturing a love of learning and enhancing the lively community at Dubai American Academy, with roles commencing in August 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for Middle School Spanish teachers eager to spark curiosity, inspire excellence, and support the achievements of every DAA student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Spanish lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching approaches that foster enthusiasm for Spanish and enhance critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and positive learning atmosphere.
• Ensure seamless delivery of curriculum content.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will require:

• A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree in a relevant field, coupled with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent in Spanish/MFL.
• Proven experience teaching Middle School Spanish, preferably within an American/IB curriculum context.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and interactive Spanish instruction.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A dedication to continual improvement in practice and providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences for students.
