Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey within an educational community that values increasing opportunities, improving outcomes for our students. We are looking for a HLTA to join our team. Reporting to the PLC Manager you will undertake:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day operation of the Personal Learning Centre (PLC).
Deliver learning activities and teaching sessions to small groups and individual students.
Plan and prepare targeted interventions to support student progress.
Support students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs.
Work closely with the PLC Manager and wider school staff to meet individual student needs.
Build positive relationships with students, families and external agencies.
Monitor student engagement, attendance and wellbeing.
Promote inclusion and help students successfully reintegrate into mainstream school where appropriate.

Pay range: Grade 6 SCP 15-23

Qualifications and Skills:

GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working at Higher Level Teaching Assistant level.
Relevant safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).
First Aid qualification desirable.

Experience of working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with social, emotional, behavioural or learning needs.
Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities and interventions.
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
Ability to motivate, engage and inspire young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience of working collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external agencies.
Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor student progress.
Resilient, adaptable and committed to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all students.
