SEN Art & Design Teacher
About This Role
What we need:
We are seeking a passionate, inspirational SEN Art & Design Teacher to join our team at an exciting stage in the development of our Art & Design provision. This is a permanent, part‑time position and would suit an experienced art practitioner who holds a degree in the Arts and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
We are happy to consider applications from a practising Art & Design graduate who actively produces their own creative work and has experience of delivering Art & Design sessions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to being supported in completing a recognised teaching qualification.
This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape, grow and embed Art & Design across the school. You will be confident in adapting and modifying the Art & Design national curriculum so it is relevant, purposeful and meaningful for our Gosden learners, providing them not only with joy and opportunities for self‑expression, but also with essential life skills that support them now and as future Gosden Graduates.
You will inspire a love of visual literacy through a wide range of media, including traditional 2D approaches, 3D design, craft and digital technologies. You will be able to bring artists, designers and craftspeople to life through engaging, accessible teaching, and draw upon your own creative practice to model artistic thinking and inspire pupils’ individual work.
Experience teaching GCSE, Level 2 and Level 3 Art & Design is desirable.
