About This Role
Raffles International School, Dubai is in search of a skilled and experienced Deputy Head for the Secondary School, with a start date in August 2026.
RIS follows the English National Curriculum, emphasizing both academic success and student well-being. The school has achieved an 'Outstanding' rating from British Schools Overseas, is quality assured by OFSTED, and has received a 'Very Good' rating from the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (KHDA).
This role is part of the Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with both secondary and primary leadership, specifically the Head of Secondary and the Principal.

We invite applications from senior and middle leaders in education who meet the following criteria:
- A profound enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
- Leadership experience, either at the senior or middle level, in a high-performing educational environment.
- A Bachelor’s Degree along with a PGCE with QTS or an equivalent qualification. Additional post-graduate qualifications are highly desirable.
- A proven track record of excellence contributing to significant improvements in student attainment and progress, curriculum development, and community involvement.
- A comprehensive understanding of best practices in safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive education.
- Fluency in English as a first language.
- A commitment to nurturing creative and imaginative teaching that recognizes the progress of every student.
