The Role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative science curriculum leader to lead our strong and diverse science teachers. Our school promotes and enjoys a collaborative and supportive culture where we are committed to ‘Excellence is Our Tradition’. We are undertaking professional development of all staff with a particular focus on school wide literacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the science curriculum development and implementation.
- Support and mentor science teachers in their professional growth.
- Develop engaging local learning experiences, especially through our junior curriculum.
- Increase the number of students choosing science pathways.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary education setting.
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and assessment practices.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
What We Offer
This is a permanent teaching position. Ideally, the successful candidate would begin on Monday, 29th of June 2026, however we are happy to discuss flexibility in start date with the chosen candidate. Remuneration is 3 Management Units and 2 Middle Management Allowances.
