About This Role

We are seeking to hire an exceptional Assessment Coordinator (with Teaching Responsibilities) to become part of our team either immediately or in August 2026. The individual in this role will play a key part in supporting the school's Vision and Mission, as well as upholding all policies, academic standards, and pastoral care within the Primary school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment Leadership
    • Spearhead the creation and execution of the school's assessment policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that assessment practices are in line with ADEK requirements, British curriculum standards, and external benchmarking expectations.
    • Coordinate internal and external assessments, including baseline, formative, summative, and standardized tests.
    • Manage the assessment calendar, ensuring that assessments are scheduled and executed efficiently.
    • Advocate for Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies throughout the school.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Gather, analyze, and interpret assessment data to monitor student progress and achievement.
    • Provide regular data reports to senior leadership and teaching staff.
    • Assist teachers in utilizing data to guide instructional planning and differentiation.
    • Identify achievement gaps and prioritize interventions.
    • Ensure compliance with ADEK data reporting requirements.
  • Curriculum and Standards Alignment
    • Collaborate with Heads of Department and teachers to guarantee that assessments align with curriculum goals and learning outcomes.
    • Aid in the creation of common assessments, moderation processes, and marking standards.
    • Lead internal moderation to ensure the reliability and consistency of assessments.
  • Staff Training and Support
    • Offer professional development opportunities for teachers on effective assessment strategies and the use of data.
    • Assist teachers in crafting high-quality assessments and rubrics.
    • Promote best practices in formative assessment and feedback.
  • ADEK Compliance
    • Ensure that all assessment practices comply with ADEK regulations and inspection standards.
    • Support school leadership during ADEK inspections by providing assessment evidence and documentation.
    • Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation.
  • Teaching Responsibilities
    • Teach designated classes as per the school timetable.
    • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that align with the British curriculum.
    • Employ effective assessment strategies to facilitate student progress.
    • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
    • Engage in planning, marking, reporting, and parent communication.

Skills

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A fully certified teacher, possessing a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
  • Highly knowledgeable in the National Curriculum for England.
  • Effective in people development with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • An IELTS score of at least 6 or equivalent may be necessary.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
