Position Overview:

We welcome applications from passionate AP Chemistry educators who are committed to nurturing a love for learning and enhancing the lively community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting in August 2026.

This role offers an exciting chance for AP Chemistry educators focused on fostering curiosity, inspiring success, and supporting all students' achievements at DAA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Chemistry lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and employ innovative teaching methods that instill a passion for Chemistry and promote critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
• Ensure a seamless flow in the presentation of curriculum content.
• Differentiating instruction to meet the varied learning needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages exploration and curiosity.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant initial degree, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or a Level 5 equivalent specialization in Chemistry.
• Proven experience teaching High School AP Chemistry, ideally within an American/IB curriculum framework.
• A solid understanding of inquiry-based learning and experiential Chemistry education.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine commitment to enhancing their teaching practice and delivering exceptional learning experiences for their students.
