About This Role

About the School:
The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a remarkable institution located in an excellent area. As an HMC school, we have recently been evaluated by a BSO (British Schools Overseas) Inspection and received outstanding ratings across all categories, including safeguarding, pupil welfare, pupil progress, and outcomes.

BSB is a large and highly sought-after school catering to students aged 3 to 18. Our curriculum is aligned with the English National Curriculum, offering a diverse selection of GCSEs, A levels, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, complemented by a robust enrichment programme.

With over 2000 students from more than 74 nationalities, BSB employs over 315 staff members. Our campuses are situated in three locations: two just outside Barcelona – in Castelldefels, which houses our Primary, Secondary, and Pre-University facilities, and in the vibrant town of Sitges with another Primary campus. BSB City is located in the heart of Barcelona, featuring a Foundation campus (established in September 2021) and a recently opened Secondary campus as of September 2023.

The school’s expansion has been supported by considerable investment in recent years, including the establishment of a cutting-edge Pre-University Centre (Nexus), a full-sized 4G rugby and football pitch, specialized STEM facilities, and the new BSB City campuses.

In 2026, we will be further expanding the school by adding a state-of-the-art campus in Maresme, to the east of Barcelona. This new campus will initially welcome students from Nursery to Year 4 in 2026, with plans to extend to Year 13 by 2028. This exciting development will feature a variety of specialized facilities, including modern classrooms, science labs, fully equipped music and art spaces, social and study areas, and sports facilities, all set amidst breathtaking surroundings with mountains and coastlines.

Living in Barcelona offers a fantastic lifestyle, blending city life with the nearby beach and mountains. The quality of life here is exceptional, boasting a mild climate and sunny weather throughout the year.
