Curriculum Overview:
Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, tailored to resonate with Qatar’s cultural heritage and values. Our educational journey spans from Early Years to Sixth Form, integrating academic excellence with strong pastoral support and a focus on personal development.
The DBS curriculum is structured to be relevant, enriching, and challenging, merging academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Ideal candidates should possess:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS, accompanied by an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be backed by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).
•
At least two years of teaching experience (international experience is preferred but not mandatory).
•
Outstanding subject knowledge, with a strong background in teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
A deep enthusiasm for creating a student-centered learning atmosphere.
•
A dedication to professional development and a cooperative teaching approach.
•
A proven history of delivering exceptional teaching and learning outcomes.

A strong desire to engage with the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives.

This position is set to begin in September 2026; however, staff are anticipated to arrive in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
