About This Role

Psychology Teacher (A Level & IB Diploma)
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an exceptional Psychology Teacher to join the academic team at Queen's College. This role provides a unique chance to teach and enhance the Psychology curriculum at both A Level and within the IB Diploma Programme, playing a vital role in the growth of the subject at our vibrant British international school located in Mallorca, Spain. Teaching Specifications
Essential
• A strong honours degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
• A PGCE or recognized qualified teacher status for secondary education.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably within a UK or British international school setting.
• A proven record of strong examination results at A Level and/or IB Diploma level.
• Familiarity with the English National Curriculum.
• Experience in managing or contributing to IB Internal Assessments, including moderation, academic integrity processes, and predicted grades.
• Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English.
• A clear commitment to safeguarding and prioritizing the welfare of children.

Desirable
• Experience teaching Psychology within the IB Diploma Programme, with an understanding of the course structure, Internal Assessment, and examination requirements.
• Participation in IB professional development workshops (Category 2 or 3).
• Previous experience in an international school or multilingual setting.
• Experience in supporting high-achieving students and guiding them towards top university pathways.
• Right to work in the EU (preferred but not mandatory).

Key Responsibilities
Academic and Curriculum Leadership
• Oversee the planning, teaching, and ongoing enhancement of Psychology at A Level and within the IB Diploma Programme, ensuring compliance with the relevant awarding body and IB standards.
• Play a key role in establishing Psychology as a subject at Queen's College, developing course materials, resources, and assessment frameworks from the ground up.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, exemplifying outstanding practice that emphasizes both academic excellence and genuine care for each student.

Assessment and Examinations
• Coordinate all components of IB Internal Assessments in Psychology, including timelines, standardization, moderation, and academic integrity.
• Lead examination preparations, manage predicted grades, target setting, and track student progress using data-informed strategies.
• Create and enhance formative and summative assessments that foster deep comprehension and strong examination outcomes.
