RAK Academy Al Hamra:
Situated in the southern region of Ras Al Khaimah within the Al Hamra community, RAK Academy – Al Hamra is an expanding primary and lower secondary institution that provides a tailored UK National Curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 8, along with UAE MOE subjects. Our secondary school, encompassing Grades 6 to 8, will welcome its first students in August 2026. We hold accreditation from the British Schools Overseas (BSO), aligning ourselves with top-tier international British schools, and we are equipped to fully deliver the ECT induction for teachers.
The Role (Founding position):
RAK Academy – Al Hamra is on the lookout for a motivated, positive, and inspiring MFL Teacher specializing in Spanish and French to join our thriving department for the Academic Year 26-27. This is a unique chance to influence curriculum design, foster departmental culture, establish assessment systems, and set teaching standards in a brand-new school launching in August 2026.
As a founding educator, the Secondary MFL Teacher will:

Provide engaging, high-quality MFL lessons for Grades 6–8
•
Assist in crafting and executing the MFL curriculum
•
Support enrichment initiatives such as MFL competitions, clubs, and extension programs
•
Work alongside the Head of MFL and other leaders to ensure seamless continuity and progression
•
Participate in curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental growth
•
Teach across various key stages as the school evolves

Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and French.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practices
• High proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Ability to engage, motivate, and support students
• Reflective practitioner capable of creative thinking and innovation
• Positive and enthusiastic team player with a growth mindset
• Willingness to actively participate in extracurricular activities
• Excellent communication abilities
• Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE/A-Level courses (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply)
Desirable:
•
Training in UK Curriculum or International Baccalaureate.
•
Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes.
•
Experience in contributing to or leading curriculum development.
