About This Role

Saint Paul American Scholars (SPAS) is an emerging K-12 school district focused on nurturing responsible citizens and equipping students for college readiness. This mission encompasses not only the core academic curriculum but also instilling essential ethical values such as courage, compassion, integrity, justice, truth, reason, fairness, respect, and honesty.

A thriving school environment is marked by high-quality instruction from teachers and effective learning by students. Achieving this necessitates a safe atmosphere for everyone in the SPAS community, alongside a commitment to citizenship and fair application of rules. We recognize the vital role of parents as partners in education, holding them accountable for their children's behavior and success.

At SPAS, we seek educators who view themselves as more than just teachers. True educators are dedicated to finding ways to support struggling students, challenge those who excel, and understand the reasons behind each student’s performance. Their commitment stems from a desire to see students not merely survive but truly thrive. They are eager to collaborate with fellow educators and stakeholders to enhance student outcomes.

Educators know that teaching extends beyond merely assigning, collecting, and grading assignments. If you share this philosophy, we would love to hear from you.
