THE ACADEMY
GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) is a private, co-educational IB World School serving PreK through Grade 12, established in 2008 as a part of GEMS Education. GWA is authorized to implement the PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programs, and holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

THE ROLE
The Inclusion department at GEMS World Academy has significantly transformed student outcomes and has fostered a genuine love for learning. This success stems from the commitment of the staff, their exceptional subject expertise, and the department's innovative approach to data and curriculum. The Inclusion department is highly esteemed by our students for the dedicated care and personal support it provides.
We invite applications from enthusiastic Secondary Inclusion professionals who share our passion for inspiring a love of learning. Opportunities are available starting August 2026.
SKILLS
The ideal applicant will have a proven record of effective teaching and a commitment to student success. While experience with the IB Middle Years Programmes and Diploma Programmes is preferred, we encourage outstanding educators from any curriculum background to apply. Alignment with the IB philosophy and adherence to the values of the Learner Profile are essential. A genuine enthusiasm for working within a non-selective, culturally rich community is also important. Furthermore, candidates should have:

A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree accompanied by a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent specialization in Inclusion
•
Advanced qualifications are favored but not mandatory
•
At least 3 years of experience teaching Secondary Inclusion, preferably in an IB curriculum school, though this is not a strict requirement
•
A solid understanding of the IB MYP/DP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred
•
A strong desire for continuous improvement in teaching practices to provide exceptional learning experiences for students
•
The personality, experience, and educational philosophy that fit with a leading IB World School like GEMS World Academy
•
Availability in August 2026

NEXT STEPS
