Primary Teacher – GEMS Al Barsha National School, Dubai

The Role

In the position of Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and executing outstanding lessons tailored to the diverse needs of all students. You will cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence among every learner.

In addition to classroom instruction, you will play an active role in the broader school community, participating in co-curricular activities and community events that support our students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver captivating and well-organized lessons that align with the school’s curriculum.


Assess, document, and communicate student progress to ensure that every child can realize their full potential.


Establish a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom setting conducive to effective learning.


Exhibit current knowledge of the curriculum, subject content, and effective teaching methodologies.


Collaborate with fellow educators to plan units, exchange best practices, and contribute to curriculum enhancement.


Maintain open communication with parents to provide regular updates regarding student progress and well-being.


Engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, school events, and committees.


Consistently uphold the GEMS Education Core Values and adhere to school policies.


Encourage cultural awareness, resilience, and a true passion for learning among all students.

Qualifications & Knowledge


Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or an equivalent teaching qualification).


Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree accompanied by a recognized teaching certification/license.


Strong comprehension of integrating ICT in education to enhance student engagement and learning.

Skills & Attributes


A dedicated and skilled classroom practitioner who holds high expectations for student achievement and behavior.


Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.


A reflective educator committed to ongoing professional development.


Adaptable, positive, and capable of thriving within a collaborative team environment.

Experience


A minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a relevant subject area and age group.


Prior experience with the National Curriculum for England is highly desirable.


Experience in an international school setting is an advantage.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
