PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
I. QUALIFICATION
Essential: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Desirable: PGCE / QTS or equivalent certification.
II. EXPERIENCE
The applicant should have:
• At least two years of teaching experience in a UK or international school.
• Proven experience teaching IGCSE English.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teach English at the IGCSE level.
• Contribute to the enhancement of teaching quality within the English department and the wider school by sharing resources, observing lessons, mentoring, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children.
• Support the school’s objectives for teaching and learning.
• Plan and prepare lessons and courses.
• Deliver instruction tailored to the educational needs of assigned students.
• Assign and evaluate student work, including internal examinations.
• Track and document student progress and achievements in accordance with school policy.
• Set appropriately challenging targets for students.
• Ensure that students requiring learning support are effectively assisted in following their Individual Education Plans.
• Organize assessments and examinations as needed.
• Write reports as required.
• Encourage a passion for learning and a thirst for knowledge among students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, exchange ideas, and share professional insights.
• Stay informed about updates from the Head of Department and subject developments, contributing curriculum knowledge to the department.
• Keep abreast of international educational research.
