We are currently in search of a seasoned English Teacher to become a part of our English and Literature Department, focusing on Advanced Placement (AP) courses at the High/Secondary School level.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver instruction in English Language and Literature for Grades 6–12, including AP courses where applicable.
• Design assessments that align with AP standards, including Free Response Questions (FRQs), document analysis, and extended response tasks.
• Foster critical thinking skills in students.
• Engage in departmental planning, curriculum evaluation, and resource development.
• Uphold high academic standards while promoting student well-being.
• Be mindful of colleagues' needs and collaborate effectively, respecting deadlines and team dynamics.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, adhere to policies, and contribute to the smooth operation of the department.
• Encourage professional conversations, exchange innovative teaching methods, and assist fellow educators in enhancing best practices and new initiatives.
• Engage in and support various activities organized within the department and by the School.
• Enthusiastically contribute to interdisciplinary connections and Leadership in Action projects.
• Stay informed about subject developments and general educational trends.
REQUIREMENTS
• A university degree in Education, English, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in the education field.
• A valid teaching qualification is mandatory.
• Experience in teaching high school English; proficiency in AP curriculum is a notable advantage.
• Familiarity with inquiry and project-based learning strategies.
• Capability to tailor instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• A culturally responsive approach to teaching with a strong awareness of safeguarding.
• A high degree of professionalism and a focus on children's well-being.
• Recent and active participation in extracurricular initiatives.
