Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable educator with the ability to teach German at the Secondary level? Would you like to be part of a nurturing, ambitious, and expanding international school situated in the stunning southern region of Spain?
Sage College is on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate German Teacher to become a member of our faculty starting in September 2026.
This teaching position involves instructing students in German from Key Stage 3 up to IGCSE level.
We seek an educator who can foster creativity and artistic confidence while enhancing linguistic skills, cultural understanding, and a genuine appreciation for the German language.
Additional Opportunity: Boarding Houseparent
For those interested, there is an option to assume an additional role as a Boarding Houseparent within our on-campus Boarding School. This position offers extra compensation and accommodation provided on the premises.
This dual academic and pastoral position is ideal for a teacher who enjoys playing a role in students’ personal growth, well-being, and residential community involvement.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
•
Possess a recognized teaching qualification.
•
Have demonstrated experience teaching German up to IGCSE level.
•
Have a background in a UK or international school adhering to the National Curriculum of England & Wales.
•
Be fluent in English and possess strong German language skills.
•
Knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
•
Hold an EU passport/status or a valid TIE/right to work in Spain.
•
Exhibit engaging, student-focused classroom practices with high expectations.
•
Be committed to enriching the broader school life (exhibitions, cultural activities, trips, school productions, language week, etc.).
•
If applying for the Boarding Houseparent position, be supportive, responsible, approachable, and confident in a pastoral/residential environment.
