ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Gillam School offers a vibrant educational setting for students from Nursery through Grade 12, located 304 km north of Thompson on the traditional lands of the Fox Lake Cree Nation. The town of Gillam features a thriving community, highlighted by a recently renovated recreation center that includes skating and curling rinks, a community library, a cinema, and a fitness facility. It is a paradise for outdoor lovers, with opportunities for fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and hiking. The community also provides essential services, such as a hospital, pharmacy, and a Co-op grocery store.

WHAT YOU BRING
- A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).
- A Master’s degree in education or administration and/or a Certificate in School Leadership would be beneficial.
- At least five years of teaching experience and five years in an administrative position.
- A strong grasp of provincial curricula.
- Proficiency in school-based technology.
- Familiarity with Indigenous Way of Life is considered an asset.
- Experience in a northern community is also regarded favorably.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
