We are excited to share that NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is preparing for the launch of a state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre in August 2026, which will provide IBDP, A-Levels, and BTEC programs.

We are seeking committed Secondary Teachers to join us in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the objective of promoting student-led learning and making a meaningful difference in our educational community.

Currently, NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is looking for a SCIENCE TEACHER (KEY STAGE 3) to join our Secondary team and elevate the standard of teaching and learning in Science (KEY STAGE 3).

The role:

As a qualified Teacher of Science, your main responsibilities will encompass:


Initiating programs that boost student engagement and school spirit.


Supporting extracurricular activities and various school functions.


Promoting parental involvement through effective communication and progress updates.


Delivering engaging, inclusive, and impactful instructional lessons.


Encouraging creativity, problem-solving abilities, and design thinking.


Utilizing data-driven strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.


Incorporating digital tools to enhance the learning experience.


Acting as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.


Creating and executing lesson plans that align with the curriculum.


Ensuring thorough assessment practices and providing timely feedback.


Participating in curriculum innovation and quality assurance processes.


Engaging in continuous professional development.


Reflecting on teaching practices to improve effectiveness.


Promoting school values and fostering a positive educational atmosphere.

The Successful Candidate will possess:


A Bachelor of Education or an equivalent degree along with a PGCE in a relevant Science subject.


Qualified Teacher Status.


Experience as a qualified teacher in a UK and/or international context.


Relevant Science training or a comparable qualification.


At least 2 years of teaching experience.


A strong understanding of student learning and development in relation to Science education.


Awareness of current trends and advancements in Science education.


Demonstrated knowledge of broader educational developments.


Experience in improving achievement standards for all student demographics.


Competence in planning, delivering, monitoring, and assessing lessons as part of the school curriculum.


Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and relevant subject knowledge.


Understanding of assessment and reporting protocols.


Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level, and IB syllabi, along with associated examination processes.


Ability to effectively integrate technology into the classroom to enhance student learning.


Possession of a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.


Compliance with visa requirements for employment.


A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, along with a willingness to undertake necessary child protection training.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
