RAK Academy - Al Hamra
Situated in the Al Hamra community in the southern region of Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Academy – Al Hamra is an expanding primary and lower secondary institution that implements an adapted UK National Curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 8, alongside UAE MOE subjects. Our newly established secondary school will welcome Grades 6 to 8 for the first time in August 2026. We hold accreditation from the British Schools Overseas (BSO), aligning ourselves with top international British institutions, and we are equipped to deliver the ECT induction program for teachers.
The Role:
RAK Academy Al Hamra Secondary is in search of a DT Lab Technician to assist both teachers and students by preparing materials, maintaining equipment (including 3D printers, laser cutters, and woodworking tools), ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, and aiding in practical lessons and projects in areas such as Product Design, emphasizing both traditional skills and contemporary CAD/CAM technologies, while also managing workshop resources and inventory.

Fluency in English is necessary.
•
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children.
•
A solid understanding of Health & Safety protocols, including the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
•
A proactive and adaptable mindset.
•
Prior experience in a child-focused setting.
•
Secondary School Certificate (at least) — A technical or vocational qualification in Engineering, DT, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience in a laboratory or technical setting.
