Aldar Academies is excited to announce an opening for an exceptional Teacher - Primary at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in April 2026.

Mamoura British Academy offers a British curriculum and is a mixed-gender school until Year 8, transitioning to a girls-only school from Year 9 onwards. Nestled in a modern facility in the heart of Abu Dhabi, we are dedicated to achieving excellence through high standards and a commitment to providing quality learning experiences for our students. Key Responsibilities


- Deliver inspiring lessons that motivate students to achieve their best outcomes.

- Responsibilities include:

- Collaborating effectively with colleagues.

- Communicating clearly across all levels.

- Cultivating positive relationships within the school community.

- Collaborating with fellow educators to design engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards.

- Working flexibly with colleagues.

- Partnering with parents to promote student happiness and academic success.

- Cooperating with curriculum support staff (as needed) to enhance children's development.

Teaching and Learning:

- Possess a thorough understanding of the curriculum.

- Organize classroom resources and displays to foster a stimulating and positive learning atmosphere.

- Plan, prepare, and deliver sessions tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.

- Engage and motivate students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.

- Observe and assess student progress according to school assessment protocols.

- Reflect on classroom practices, lessons delivered, and student progress to make necessary adjustments to the environment, planning, and curriculum.

- Collaborate with specialists such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as required.

- Ensure the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA principles are integrated throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:

- Take charge of the academic progress of your class.

- Fulfill assessment requirements and document student development using Target Tracker.

- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, provisions, and interventions.

- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:

- Adhere to the school's behavior management policy.

- Effectively manage the classroom using strategies that cater to students' individual needs, inspiring and challenging them.

- Foster positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary in line with the school's behavior policy.

- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the expected attitudes, values, and behaviors.

- Maintain high expectations for behavior, encouraging self-control and independence among all learners.

- Execute assigned duties according to school policies.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

- Participate in a curriculum action group, aiding in planning, assessment, resource management, and special events related to that team.

- Assist in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or evenings.

- Effectively communicate with parents/guardians about student achievements and well-being, utilizing school systems such as CPOMS as needed.

- Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.

- Lead a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or similar teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- A minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience.

- Prior experience working with students for whom English is a second language.

- A passion for teaching and a commitment to the holistic education of every child.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
