About This Role
Yas School is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Cycle 3 Physics Teacher to join our team in August 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027, or sooner if possible.
This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a prestigious government school in Abu Dhabi that aims to harmonize Emirati cultural values with contemporary global standards, providing an outstanding educational experience for our students. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about promoting our school’s values while honoring the rich culture and heritage of the UAE. At Yas School, we implement the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum with a strong emphasis on inclusive education, enrichment programs, and preparing students to be future-ready. Established in 2015, we are proud to be the largest single-campus K-12 government school, serving over 1,750 students.
We are in search of a skilled educator with experience in either UK or US curricula, and ideally, familiarity with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum.
In your role as a teacher at Yas School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that promote academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being among students. You will have a vital role in enabling students to realize their full potential, equipping them to succeed as competitive global citizens while celebrating and reinforcing the UAE’s heritage and Emirati identity.
You will also be expected to cultivate strong relationships and maintain open lines of communication with parents, colleagues, and students, upholding high academic and behavioral standards that align with the school’s ethos and policies. Your commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning atmosphere will encourage each student to strive for excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the relevant subject area.
• A Master’s Degree in Education/Educational Leadership or a related field is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (evidenced by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent).
• Bilingual skills in English and Arabic are highly desirable.
• A UAE Certified Teaching License or equivalent, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
