ROLE SUMMARY:

We are on the lookout for a passionate and effective Biology Teacher to deliver exceptional science education throughout the Senior School. The ideal candidate will craft engaging Biology lessons that encourage scientific inquiry, foster deep conceptual understanding, and yield strong academic results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver engaging and meticulously planned Biology lessons in line with the Cambridge curriculum and overall academic standards of the school.


Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on laboratory skills through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.


Accurately assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring maintenance of high academic standards.


Play a role in curriculum development and the ongoing enhancement of schemes of work, resources, and assessment methods.


Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department, fostering strong pedagogical practices and ongoing professional development.


Implement inclusive teaching strategies that cater to students of varying abilities, including those with diverse learning needs.


Enrich the science co-curricular programme through clubs, competitions, field trips, and other enrichment activities.


Contribute to the pastoral care of students, promoting wellbeing, resilience, and a passion for scientific learning.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A recognized teaching qualification and a degree in Biology or a closely related scientific field.


Significant experience teaching Biology, ideally within an international school or in a Cambridge curriculum setting.


Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students to grasp and appreciate the living world.


Exceptional organizational, communication, and classroom management abilities.


A reflective and innovative approach with a commitment to ongoing professional development.


Experience with Cambridge programmes or international curricula is highly desirable.

Compensation
