By exploring important literary and cultural texts, students will cultivate critical thinking abilities, a global outlook, and a profound comprehension of the complexities of human society.
We are in search of a visionary teacher in Literature and Language who possesses a deep passion for fostering innovative learning through the encouragement of research, inquiry, and technology skills. You will motivate and support our students in their literacy journey, igniting their love for learning while creating an engaging and vibrant classroom atmosphere. Furthermore, you will encourage creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, empowering our students to become the trailblazers of tomorrow.
In addition, you will be instrumental in assisting students for whom English is a second language. By establishing and managing an English Language support program, you will ensure these students receive the essential help they need to thrive academically and fully integrate into the school community.
• Teach English Literature and Language classes across primary, middle years, and IGCSE levels using your own engaging teaching methods.
• Develop and implement an English Language support program to aid students for whom English is a second language, ensuring they receive necessary assistance to succeed in their studies.
• Cultivate a passion for learning while enhancing knowledge and understanding in English Literature and Language.
• Shape and execute an innovative approach to education in these disciplines.
• Foster an environment that encourages inquiry and creativity.
• Motivate students to excel in IGCSE exams, international competitions, and cultural exchanges.
• Ensure mastery of the subject and excellence in curriculum development.
• Create strategies to help gifted students achieve outstanding performance in all academic and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
• Ideally must possess an EU passport or have the right to work in Spain.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.
• Valid Teaching Qualification - PGCE/BEd or equivalent, recognized in the EU.
• Significant experience in international schools, with a background in teaching British Curriculum English Literature and Language, including a successful track record in competitive international examinations.
• Strong expertise in fostering inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based, and research skills, applying them in real-world contexts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in utilizing technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.
• Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in English Literature and Language instruction.
