Teacher of Music

Clyst Vale is a thriving and vibrant 11- 16 Community College situated five miles from Exeter. The Role

Clyst Vale prides itself on its Music offer from year 7 to 11 and starting in September we are looking to appoint an exciting and innovative Teacher of Music. This is a permanent, 0.7fte part time position. The successful candidate will be able to teach across key KS3 & KS4 and is offered on the main teacher's and upper teacher's pay scale.

We are looking for:

- An outstanding teacher with excellent subject knowledge;

- A practitioner who is keen to enthuse students using a variety of approaches;

- Experience of teaching Music at GCSE is desirable;

- A willingness to contribute to the enrichment activities of the Department;

We encourage applications from ECT’s and we can offer an excellent induction programme, in partnership with the South West Institute for Teaching, as well as a robust and impactful CPD offer for teachers at all stages of their career.

For the right candidate, there is also the potential to take up either a Head of Performing Arts TLR2b, or Second in Department role TLR2a. You will be responsible for either the day to day running of the Performing department, of which music is part of, or supporting the day to day running of the Performing Arts department, with a focus on leading music.
